Shine

The ask: Landing page for app subscriptions, tied to social ads for a 30 day free trial

The target: Jen, 37, lives in Washington, D.C. A new mom who works full time; she needs a quick, easy form of self-care.

The Shine app makes mindfulness easy and accessible with motivational texts, daily challenges, and an extensive library of guided meditations.

I teamed up with a designer to develop a clean, scannable landing page that gave a quick overview of the app and guided prospects to sign up for a 30 day free trial (after users clicked on a paid social ad). We researched some competitor examples and landing page best practices and netted out with this content structure:

  • Hero copy that briefly introduced Shine

  • A contact form + CTA in the hero section so interested users could immediately sign up for the free trial without hunting through the page

  • Four brief audio previews of the kind of guided meditations users could expect in the app

  • A “How it Works” section that explained the motivational texts, check ins, and guided meditations

  • Links to media accolades

  • Social proof from real-world users

  • A second CTA that would scroll back up to the contact form when clicked
